End of Abyss Trophies and Achievements: Rarest Ones Ranked

Three entries sit at 0% on Epic's official achievement list, and 20 of the 44 PS trophies are still pinned at 0.1% rarity: the Logbook sweeps, the map sweep and the secret ending are where nearly every run dies. All of them fit in one playthrough of roughly 15 to 20 hours. Exactly one trophy can be lost forever, and only because of something you did on purpose.

All rates below were read on October 3, 2026, two days after the October 1 launch, from the two lists that publish real numbers: Epic's official achievement page and PSNProfiles. PSNProfiles was still tracking only 142 owners and 523 earned trophies when fetched, so treat the PS percentages as directional rather than a population average; Epic's percentages come from its own backend and are firmer.

Rarest first: the trophy list by unlock rate

Everything below 0.5% is where the platinum is won or lost. Epic hides 26 of its 43 entries behind a spoiler screen, so the Epic column only carries numbers for the 17 named ones.

The common side of the list tells you what an average player never touches: Vault Entry (unlock the first Vault) sits at 23.0%, Shuttle Station Cleared at 32.7%, Tower Ready at 49.9%. Nobody finishes this game without those. Nobody finishes it with the ones above either.

The three 0% entries and what each one costs

Master Explorer - visit every room. This is the only 0% entry that is not a collectible sweep, and it is the one that quietly eats a weekend. The map fills in room by room, and a room only registers once you physically stand in it. Optional side rooms, sealed maintenance corridors and the dead ends behind optional bosses all count. Use the sector and floor map reference to walk it deliberately instead of hoping.

Cryptographer - scan all Codes. Every Code in the Logbook needs to be scanned with the Scanner, not merely found. Because the Codes are also redeemable items, this is the trophy players accidentally destroy. See the missable-trophy section below before you touch a single one.

Completionist - fill the Logbook. Four categories, all at 100%: Creatures, Notes, Data Shards, Codes. Because the Scanner gates three of the four, this gold is really a Scanner checklist. The Logbook guide has the per-category sweep, and the Scanner guide covers how the scan mode actually works.

Sweep the Logbook before you sweep the map

Master Explorer and Completionist both pull you through the same back rooms. Do one pass with the Scanner up, log everything, then walk the map for the rooms you never entered. Two trips beat ten.

The 0.1 to 0.2 percent band: what actually gates the platinum

  • Fully Suited Up - maximum Suit Power comes from collecting all 6 Energy Cells. Suit Power is mod slots, not a skill tree; the Suit Power and Energy Cells breakdown has the order.
  • Super Power - every weapon, every upgrade tier. Fragments are the bottleneck, so plan the spend with the weapon upgrade priority guide instead of upgrading the first gun you find.
  • Focused - one Security Rifle shot through two or more enemies. Line enemies up along the corridor and fire down the row rather than at the nearest target.
  • Dungeon Crawler - all Vaults, whose keys drop from bosses; the vault locations guide maps all 8.
  • Defragmented - all 8 Data Shards, which double as the secret ending prerequisite.
  • Exterminator - the optional Brood Keeper in the Ventilation Tunnels. It is not on the critical path and almost nobody goes back for it; the boss reference covers the key and access route.
  • The End - the secret ending. It runs through the same Mainframe on B3 of the Lower Levels that Mainframe Restored (0.3%) covers, plus all 8 Data Shards, so do both in one trip.

The one trophy you can actually miss

The 100% Guides trophy walkthrough lists missable trophies as 0 and playthroughs needed as 1, with a single asterisk: the only way to lose a trophy in this game is to activate a Logbook code before you have picked up the Cryptograph.

Do not redeem Logbook codes until the Scanner is upgraded

Second Sight requires upgrading the Scanner, and the Cryptograph is the only item that upgrades it. Redeeming codes is irreversible, and once done the upgrade can no longer be earned. Screenshot-worthy advice: leave every Code scanned but unactivated until Second Sight pops.

The Cryptograph itself sits in the Lower Levels behind a Level 3 Access door. The route to it: grab the Level 2 Access card from a corpse in the Lower Levels, reached by burning down the wall on the right of F1 with the Incinerator, dropping through the trap door in the middle of the large room, and following the vents to the far side.

If you have already activated codes, that trophy is the only thing at risk. Everything else, including the hidden Brood Keeper fight and the secret ending, can be picked up on the same save after the credits.

44 trophies vs 43 achievements: what changes between PS and Epic

The two lists are the same 43 objectives. PS adds the platinum on top, which is exactly why the counts differ - Epic has no platinum to hand out, so its completion reward is the 1000 XP ladder instead. Several entries are renamed between the two, and the grading is entirely different.

PlayStation trophies Epic achievements
Total 44 (1 platinum, 3 gold, 12 silver, 28 bronze) 43
Total points 1,350 Trophy XP 1,000 XP
Grading Platinum / Gold / Silver / Bronze XP value per entry, 5 to 100
Completion reward Platinum: Obtain all other trophies The 1000 XP total itself
Hidden entries Most bronze entries 26 of 43
Example rename Defragmented Shard Collector (same condition: all Data Shards)

Two details worth knowing. First, the Vault pair is not a duplicate: Vault Entry is Unlock first Vault, worth 5 XP at 23%, and Dungeon Crawler is Unlock all Vaults, worth 50 XP at 0.1%. They are separate objectives a few hours apart. Second, the secret ending is one of the hidden Epic entries: the named You Did It pays 100 XP at 0.6%, and there is one hidden 100 XP entry sitting at 0.1%, which is the other half of that pair.

PC players have no Steam version and no Steam achievements to cross-check against; the Epic list is the only achievement reference on that platform.

Platinum route: one playthrough, 15 to 20 hours

  1. Finish the story to the normal ending. Grab optional weapons, Energy Cells and Vault Keys on the way; scan anything you pass.
  2. From the main menu pick Continue to reload the last safe room before the final boss, then bring all 8 Data Shards to the Mainframe on B3 of the Lower Levels and fight the final boss again for The End.
  3. Sweep the collectibles: all weapons and upgrades, all 6 Energy Cells, the mods inside every Vault, all 7 Shuttle Stations, and all four Logbook categories.
  4. Clear the combat chores and leftover rooms: grenade-into-Lurker, the Incinerator set piece, the triple grenade kill, the Particle Disruptor upgrade, Lockdown Encounters, Parasitic Growths, the Reactor pool drain, the experimental Restoration Pod, and any rooms Master Explorer still wants.

Budget 15 to 20 hours for the platinum, and expect the last third to be backtracking rather than new content. Full length expectations live in the how long to beat guide.

FAQ

Are any End of Abyss trophies missable? One, and only by your own hand: Second Sight, if you activate Logbook codes before finding the Cryptograph. The secret ending, the optional Brood Keeper and every collectible are all obtainable on the same save.

Do I need a second playthrough for the platinum? No. One playthrough covers both endings, since the secret ending is reached by continuing from the last safe room before the final boss with all 8 Data Shards.

How many trophies are hidden? On Epic, 26 of the 43 achievements are hidden, including the secret ending. On PS, most bronze trophies are hidden as well, which is why PSNProfiles shows "Hide Secret Trophies" as a filter.

Why do the two lists show different unlock rates for the same trophy? Different samples. Epic counts its own store players; PSNProfiles counts only players who opted into public trophy tracking, which was 142 owners at the time of reading. Both are launch-weekday snapshots and both will drift as more people finish the game.

Does End of Abyss have Steam achievements? No. There is no Steam version; PC is Epic Games Store only, so the Epic list is the achievement reference for PC players.
